“Proud to be a Psi O!” is the motto displayed on a bright yellow lapel button that I received from the Central Office in Charleston several years ago when I was a dental student pledging for Zeta Kappa’s Fall Rush at the University of Minnesota. Despite the fact that both my father and sister had been Psi Omegas, I really didn’t know a lot about the fraternity. I certainly didn’t realize that there was a Central Office, a National Council, nor an entire nationwide network of Psi Omega chapters dedicated to the enhancement of the dental education experience through fraternal mentoring, social opportunities, educational programs, leadership positions, community service projects, and the overall professional development of individuals preparing to become the future of the profession of dentistry.

You’re darn right I’m proud to be a Psi Omega! And I’m glad you are too! As any Psi O alumnus can attest, there are many events and opportunities that mold a dental student’s overall educational experience. None of us would be quite the same individual, either personally or professionally, that we are right now were it not for our involvement and fraternal participation in Psi Omega. To the point, you ARE Psi Omega!

And the legacy of Psi Omega continues! The list of accomplishments by Psi Omegas such as yourselves is endless. For the past 115 years members of our fraternity have been among the “movers and shakers” in every facet of dentistry nationwide and internationally, from general and specialty practice, to dental school education and administration, to community service and outreach programs, not to mention the leadership of organized dentistry itself at the local, state and national levels.

Thank you for your continued support of the Psi Omega Fraternity Central Office and its local member chapters! Your dues make events like our National Conclave possible.
Recently at this spring’s National Conclave, Psi Omega actives and their alumni mentors convened in St. Louis for our bi-annual conference event. There the present and future leaders of Psi Omega learned ways to grow and develop their local chapters to continue the legacy of their fraternity and profession well into the future! Many Psi O alums are rediscovering opportunities for mentorship through reconnecting with their local chapters through the Central Office of Psi Omega. We’re here to help you! Have fun and go for it!
